Say The Specific Thing You're Sorry For
"I'm sorry" is a start. But it's vague. She may not need more apology. She may need to hear what you're sorry for.
Instead of "I'm sorry about last night," try: "I'm sorry I shut down and made you feel like you didn't matter."
Specificity shows you're not just trying to end the argument. You're trying to understand it.
